Ontonagon has the only deep-water port in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Anchorage depth: 6.4m – 7.6m  (21 ft – 25 ft)
Cargo pier depth: 4.9m – 6.1m (16 ft – 20 ft)
Harbor size: Very small
Maximum size: Can accommodate ships up to 500 feet in length

Our area also provides rail and road access to major Midwest markets and beyond.

The Ontonagon County Airport is 3 miles west of Ontonagon, with hangar building sites available for lease. Terminal has pilots’ lounge and restrooms. Public transportation is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
